I want to lead paddle tours and SUP Yoga, how do I do that?
In the SUP Yoga TT you will learn the basics of paddling. These basic skills will help you become a better paddler so you can assist your students and use these techniques if a rescue is necessary in shallow and flat water conditions. However, from our professional experience to be a SUP tour instructor, it's important to dedicate more time specifically to paddling and helping others become a better paddler in a variety of water conditions. To lead SUP Yoga tours with Beach Culture, you will need to complete the Stand Up Paddle Instructors Foundations course (SUP IF).
Can I make-up hours I miss?
Due to Haunani's travel schedule, there are no make-up hours available for the SUP Yoga portion of the training. To receive the certification, you'll need to attend the whole training.
*Note: If you will be taking or have taken the SUP IF course with Mohanna you may skip day 1 of the SUP Yoga training. A confirmed reservation of the SUP IF course is needed to skip day 1 of the SUP Yoga training.
Do I have to bring any equipment with me?
No, all equipment is provided for the dates of the training. If you have your own board and would like to use it, please arrange this with Mohanna ahead of time.
What to bring:
Watersports clothes & dry-land clothes (available each day)
2-3 pens
Waterproof/resistant watch
Protective dry case for your phone
Snacks & water
Dry bag (if you have)
Please note:
Due to the safety and nature of this course, we ask that you leave all cell phones out of reach (in a locker) until you are given free-time to play and explore. This is first and foremost a safety course, so your uninterrupted attention is required. During free-times and practice sessions, you will be free to take photos.
