Yoga & Ayurveda Mentorship for Yoga Teachers

Mentorship + Community + Continuing Education

Where you'll bridge east and west, subtle with practical, serious and hilarious, and most importantly move from scared to sacred in all areas of your life.

ALIGNED is a global membership community of modern yoga teachers who are looking for community and mentorship.  Here you'll find the support you need to integrate and digest what you learned in your 200-hour yoga teacher training while making it applicable to your busy modern life.

Some of you will reunite with soul family and build lasting relationships for life.

Through organized modules, masterclasses, and monthly online community gatherings, we use the wisdom of yoga to unleash your self-expressed essence and find alignment, clarity, healing, and joy on and off your mat.

Integrate Yoga and Ayurveda into your modern yogi life so you can live your yoga on and off the mat.

I see yoga as a path for real revolutionary acceptance, healing, and change for good.  As a yoga teacher, you are a force of good in this world.  As you experienced in your own life, yoga is powerful, healing, and life-affirming.  However, it can be lonely after you leave your yoga teacher training and find yourself in the midst of being a worldly yogi on this spiritual path to liberation among people who just don’t get you like your yoga sisters and brothers did in your teacher training.  That’s what this community is all about.  Where you can talk the spiritual talk with ease and know people will be nodding their heads because they get you.  Or trying to figure out how to integrate this amazing and profound yoga wisdom into your daily life.

What I’ve found around the world are yoga teachers who have been so deeply touched by the practices and wisdom of yoga they committed a lot of time (and money) to learn more and become a yoga teacher themself.  Their yoga teacher training was rich, life-changing, supportive, with spiritual and practical conversations, a deep look into the body, mind, and spirit in a way that made you both feel better about who you were as a person and possibly puzzled by the complexity of it all.  Your yoga teacher training was more than you ever expected.

Then you graduated.  You and your yoga sisters and brothers took off to spread your wings and fly.

And that’s when you realized, "NOW WHAT?!"

The Details

  • Integrates Ayurveda and Yoga.  You will learn Ayurveda as a tool for empowerment and self-healing.  Ayurveda is based on diet and lifestyle modifications that are adapted for each person based on their personal constitution.  This knowledge will help you tailor yoga practices (asana, pranayama, and meditation) to the individual, to the season, to the time of day, and to create a class that creates a specific energy you want your students to carry into their lives.  You’ll never be left without a theme ever again.

  • Is leadership training.  Using the wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda, you’ll be asked to do the work, to be the change, and to walk confidently, and to be a force of good in your community.  You will develop the skills of a conscious leader.

  • Focuses on building foundations on and off the mat for balanced and connected living.  Yoga is a practice of becoming a master of change and adaptability with less frustration and more ease.

  • Embraces and encourages you to step into the sacredness of life.   We move away from fitting-in to belonging, from trying to being, from cup half-empty to a cup half-full, from the external to the internal.  It is a sacred process of returning to your light within, the heart’s song and voice within that wants you to be YOU.

  • Encourages you to BE YOU!  After all, no one does it better.   There is no one else on the planet like you and the World needs your special talents, gifts, and energy.

It's time to move from scared to sacred.

Why am I hosting this group?

Ayurveda aligns the body.

Yoga heals the mind.

It’s time to Live Connected.

The path of Yoga was never meant to be figured out alone.  And traditionally, before a student practiced the subtle practices of Yoga, they prepared the body and mind via Ayurveda.  I truly believe so many modern-day yogis come to a yoga mat when really what they were seeking is Ayurveda -- the body and mind healing practices.  I’m on a mission to reconnect these two sister-sciences in the West.

Yoga and Ayurveda are medicine for the people.   In a time when it is obvious that quick fixes, pills, and disconnection is not the only answer.  The simple, yet powerful, practices of yoga and Ayurveda provide a solution for the complexities of modern-day life. Everyone has the right to be treated as a whole person in body, mind, and spirit and to live nourished, despite the messaging all around us that you are not enough or broken.

Your body was designed to nourish, thrive, grow, and be an unshakable force of good. Yoga and Ayurveda provide a roadmap to go beyond your history, your suffering, and discover your highest potential in body, mind, spirit.

When you raise your vibration, you raise the vibration of all beings...we heal, the planet heals, we become more connected, we unite, we live in integrity with our values, we shine unapologetically...we become the change we wish to see in the world.

We do this together, not alone.

Why study with me?

My experience goes beyond the mat and into the world of traumatic healing, subtle energy modalities, and western medicine.   After a life designed to enter western medicine, my own health issues, chronic pain, and emotional suffering lead me to more holistic forms of healing.  I became so obsessed with the whole-person experience offered in the yoga and Ayurveda system I got a Masters Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (yes, I’m a Licensed Acupuncturist in the United States), have taken several yoga teacher trainings, and studied Ayurveda with some of the most renowned Ayurveda doctors in the United States.

As an experienced international yoga and ayurveda teacher for 17+ years, I have helped open studios, manage studios, co-create and co-lead teacher trainings, create and co-lead Yoga and Wellness retreats in the United States, Costa Rica, and Kingdom of Bahrain, taught at corporations and conferences, taught at small studios and big gyms, taught private clients in my own clinic to yoga in a major military hospital, created Integrated Yoga Anatomy curriculum and manual for Yoga Teacher Trainings, co-founded Kingdom of Bahrain’s first certified SUP yoga classes and a SUP Yoga Teacher Training, lead my own 200-hr yoga teacher training in Okinawa, Japan, continue to lead workshops for yoga teachers, and have taught for every age and a variety of abilities.  This was never the "plan" but now I find myself offering more and more mentorship, business, and healing support to newer Yoga Teachers and I LOVE IT!

I have committed my life to educate, inspire, and empower yoga teachers and women around the globe to heal from their suffering or feeling of stuckness in life, feel nourished from the inside out, live connected to self, others, and nature, and unleash their self-expressed essence through the nourishing life practices found in Yoga, Ayurveda, and Chinese Medicine.

Enough about me.  I want to know more about you!  Use the button below to send me an email and tell me what you love about yoga or what questions you have.

Is ALIGNED right for you?

Maybe you’re the reading-type and you just want to read everything possible before you click or fill-out anything.  I get you. You’ve Got Questions — I’ve Got Answers

ALIGNED is right for you if:

  • You finished a yoga teacher training and are now asking yourself, “Now what?”

  • You are feeling alone after your YTT and want to stay in community because you really loved the discussion and connections with other heart-centered yogis.

  • You fell more in love with yoga during your YTT but now realized you didn’t really learn “how to teach.”

  • Want someone to help you integrate and digest the information you learned in your YTT without investing in a 300-hour yoga teacher training (maybe later, but for now you’re ready to get comfortable with the information you learned).

  • You wish you felt as good off the mat as you do on the mat.  Yoga has helped your health and life in so many ways but there are these issues that keep bothering you.

  • You want to learn more about Ayurveda and how to integrate it into you r

  • You started teaching but deep inside you still doubt yourself and have sooooo many questions.

  • You are looking for mentorship by an experienced Yoga and Ayurveda teacher who has a knack of making complex concepts practical and easier to understand.

  • You are excited about receiving support and encouragement from other yoga teachers who took different training from yours so you can broaden your perspective and learn from others in a heart-centered, open forum.

  • You are ready to unleash your self-expressed essence as a modern yogi in a busy world.

  • You want to learn more about Ayurveda and how this wisdom is deeply connected to Yoga, healing, and your own personal growth and connection.

  • You consider yourself a modern yoga teacher.  The yoga teacher who still lives a busy modern life.  You know, you still enjoy the niceties of modern living, things like traveling the globe, dinner parties, ritualistic coffee, shopping in stores, and engaging with the world around them.  Another way of putting this, you’re not living in an ashram or living a monastic yogi lifestyle.

  • You value and love self-growth, finding solutions, and being a pro-active participant in your life and your community.

I see you yogi.  I hear you.  I remember.

Yoga had a dramatic shift in your life.  Yoga probably changed your life, maybe even saved your life.  I mean, you committed to a yoga teacher training after all.  That’s no small calling or commitment.  It was life-changing.

So why are so many yoga teachers still striving and grasping after their yoga teacher training?  The yoga industry has created a gap between your eagerness to share these healing traditions and your confidence.  Yoga Teacher Trainings are a new model for this ancient wisdom.  It takes time, integration, practice, deep personal reflection, and devotion.  Everything you need to share your yoga is right there within you.  The world is waiting for you to share your light.

The questions you are seeking are:

How does yoga wisdom want to come through me?

How do I want to bring yoga into the world?

I truly believe Yoga Teachers are a force of good in this world.  I also believe not everyone who graduates from a yoga teacher training program is destined to be an asana-based yoga teacher.  Being a Yoga Teacher means so much more.  However, so many were only taught how to be a teacher in this asana-based way.  Together, let's unleash your sacred self-expressed essence.

What makes this community and mentorship different?

I know there are a lot of yoga communities out there right now, this is how we’re different:

  1. More is not always better.  I love all the yoga groups out there.  I am part of many on FB but it can be way too overwhelming.  As you look for information it’s not always better to have 200 responses.  This group is about quality over quantity. Like a mama bird gently pushing you out of the nest to spread your wings and fly, my hope is that you unleash your self-expressed essence and start your own group.  Hopefully, you’ll be one of our guest teachers in an upcoming class, series, or retreat.

  2. As your host, I’m not just a yoga teacher with lots of teaching experience. I’ve dedicated my life to Asian medicine and the healing practices of yoga, Ayurveda, acupuncture, Chinese medicines, and Hawaiian healing. I’m a modern medicine woman who loves discussing subtle energy and spiritual topics, aaaand I also love science, research, and practical information.  I make Yoga, Ayurveda, and Asian Medicine easy to understand so you can apply this wisdom to your life immediately.  I can translate the Sutras and Baghavad Gita in a way that makes it easy to understand and applicable to your busy life. I don’t just read, learn, and teach, I live by and integrate these ancient wisdom traditions into my life.  And I’m going to plant seeds for you to do the same, tend to and water your own garden so you can fully bloom allowing this sacred wisdom to flow through you with more ease and less doubt.

  3. Consider this as an extension to your yoga teacher training but without the huge investment of a 300-hour teacher training.  I wish I had this and it seems like that’s what other yoga teachers are looking for, so here you go!  Let’s create this together and help reduce suffering around the world.
